Vabar’s association in Aiyappa life:

Vabar, a Muslim by religion was a charitable robber in his early life. He had his tent for him and his men on the way to Aiyappan temple. He used to rob the people and distributed it to his men. Kings were not able to stop or control him. They appealed to Lord. Lord Aiyappa warned Vabar and threatened to kill him. Vabar replied saying that the Lord was but a child and therefore he could not kill him in a fight. When Aiyappa tried to kill Vabar, he asked Aiyappa who would take care of his men after his death. Lord said that it would be his responsibility and promised safety to them.
