  The temple has shrines for Mothers Ashtabuja Durga, Mahalaskhmi, Lords Bala Ganapathi, Kabaleeswarar-Karpagambal on the western side of the Mandap and Lord Dakshminamurthi in the prakara.

  Though small in size, the management is maintaining the temple clean and proper.  The shrine of Lord Muruga is at the right corner.  The temple has shrines for Mothers Ashtabuja Durga and Mahalakshmi, Lords Bala Ganapathi, Kapaleeswarar with Karpagambika and Dakshinamurthi and Navagrahas the nine planets.  Mother Makali appears majestically with four hands facing north.  Every first day of the Tamil month is almost a festival day in the temple with huge devotee crowd.  Mother Makali appears in alluring alanakaras – as Makali on the first Friday, as Varalakshmi on the second Friday, as Samayapuram Mariamman on the third Friday and as Tirukadayur Abhirami and as Akhilandeswari on the last Friday.  
     
  Temple History:
     
  Mother Ambika displays Her power in various ways to protect the people on different occasions.  She has to act as Kali on some occasions.  Generally, Her furious dance – Oozhi Koothu – comes before our eyes when we think of Kali Matha.  She is also the giver of wisdom and salvation to devotees.  Here Makali appears as Goddess of wisdom.
