The sanctum sanctorum of Lord Nageswaram Udayar in Linga form is facing east.  Mother Punnaka Valli Amman is facing south.  The temple has a 3 tier Rajagopuram built with craftsmanship of highest standards. Arthamandap, Mahamandap and the sanctum sanctorum are in an orderly manner.  Planets Ragu and Ketu are in their own separate Shrines.  Sani Bagwan with his consort shares his place in the shrine of Ragu as his close friend.  This is a very rare set up not to be seen in any Shiva temple.  Lord Dakshinamurthy is on the southern side.  Lords Vinayaka, Sun God and Bhairava are in the northwest direction.  Lord Muruga with His consorts and Lord Vinayaka shrines are in the south east part of the temple.  Naga Devathas are under the Neem tree.
