The one unique significance of the temple is that Lord Muruga decides His dressings (Alankara) each day – as a King-Raja Alankaram, as a poor-Aandi, dressed in His alluring best-Sarva Alankaram. The Lord communicates His desire to the Guru of this place, Sri Krishna Nandaji in his dream which is followed by the priests the next day. The tradition is followed till this day. | | |
