Generally in Shiva temples, Lord appears in His Linga form and Mother Ambika graces from a separate shrine. Here, Lord and Mother appear in the sanctum sanctorum in full idol form together. There are only a few temples of this type in Tamilnadu. This is a small village temple. Pujas are conducted according to Tamil system. Though known as Idintha Koil – dilapidated temple, with all its divine vibrations, Lord and Mother of the temple had helped many to come out of the predicaments they were in, in life. | |
