The Ambal of this holy place is in standing posture on the Aavudaiyar (the base of Lingam). She is the primary one here. Lord Siva through His Ardhanaareeswara form
indicated that both the male and the female are equal. Similarly, the Goddess here standing on the Aavudaiyar points out that Shakti resides in Siva. Before Her feet is the ‘Sreechakra’. | | |
